Dive Deep into Jazz Mastery OVER 6 Days!

After welcoming over 100 students from 9 countries in its first year, Global Jazz Workshop returns in July 2025!

Led by Chad LB and Christian Wiggs, the Global Jazz Workshop boasts a full week of clinics, masterclasses, ensemble sessions and performances — located at the Omni Austin Downtown in the center of the Live Music Capitol of the World: Austin, Texas!

Sharpen your skills on everything ranging from improvisation, theory and musicianship to the essential knowledge needed to navigate the music business.

Who is eligible?

The Global Jazz Workshop serves musicians of all ages, instruments and skill levels!

Musicians will be grouped into ensembles according to their skill level; our programming caters to musicians ranging from developing improvisers to professional musicians looking to hone their craft!

GJW 2025 | Schedule

DAY ONE

JULY 28, 2025 [MONDAY]
Our Workshop will kick off on Monday evening, with a Workshop-wide Welcome Event with faculty, staff and attendees.
Following our Welcome Event, there will be an open Jam Session on site for all attendees. Additionally, the historic Monday Night Jam will be held at the Elephant Room (9pm-1am), five blocks from the Omni.
DAY TWO

JULY 29, 2025 [TUESDAY]
Beginning on Tuesday, we will begin our daily schedule to include:
- Ensembles, Theory & Musicianship Classes, Group Lessons, Big Band (if placed), Private Lessons (VIP Experience), Masterclasses, and Jam Sessions

JULY 30, 2025 [WEDNESDAY]
Programming continues with our daily schedule to include:
- Ensembles, Theory & Musicianship Classes, Group Lessons, Big Band (if placed), Private Lessons (VIP Experience), Masterclasses, and Jam Sessions
DAY FOUR

JULY 31, 2025 [THURSDAY]
Programming continues with our daily schedule to include:

DAY FIVE

AUGUST 1, 2025 [FRIDAY]
In addition to daily programming, we will host the second annual Global Jazz Workshop Faculty Gala concert on Friday evening.

DAY SIX

AUGUST 2, 2025 [SATURDAY]
On our final day of the Workshop, we will hold a truncated daily schedule in the morning.
During the afternoon and evening, we will hold the second annual Global Jazz Workshop Festival that will feature all of our student ensembles.
DAY SEVEN

AUGUST 3, 2025 [SUNDAY]
All attendees depart after another incredible year in Austin!
No official Workshop activities will be held. See you in 2026!
